DAX AC Cobra 427 Recreation | 5.7L Chevrolet V8 | Tremec 5-Speed | 5,400 Miles | Exceptional Build & Provenance

Some cars are built. Others are crafted.

This stunning DAX AC Cobra is a superbly finished example that has covered just 5,400 miles from new, the majority of which have been enjoyed touring some of Europe's finest driving roads. It is a car that has clearly been built and developed with passion, attention to detail and no compromise on quality.

Powered by a 5.7-litre Chevrolet V8 short block, supplied by Roadcraft, and paired with the highly desirable Tremec 5-speed gearbox, the engine breathes through an Edelbrock carburettor and headers, producing over 300bhp and 340 lb-ft of torque. The accompanying dyno graph demonstrates a beautifully smooth and usable power delivery, making this Cobra every bit as rewarding on the road as it is exhilarating.

The car is supplied with the desirable 427 Le Mans removable hardtop, together with all the components required to convert back to the soft-top configuration, allowing the next owner to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Inside, the beautifully trimmed burgundy red leather interior perfectly complements the character of the car, with black Willans race harnesses and classic Smiths instrumentation completing the authentic period feel. Throughout the car you'll find countless thoughtful finishing touches that are impossible to fully describe—the photographs genuinely speak for themselves.

The Cobra has enjoyed a cherished life, used exclusively in dry summer conditions and has accompanied its owner on memorable trips including the Le Mans Classic and the Goodwood Revival. It has never simply been a garage ornament, but equally it has always been treated with the respect a car of this calibre deserves.

The comprehensive history file contains all the appropriate paperwork relating to the build and ownership, offering confidence in the car's provenance. A fresh 12 Months MOT completed for peace of mind.
